Bill: Although what you say is accurate about two VFC in June is that any more extraordinary than a house finch? According to Thayer the HF is no where near here (Tallahassee being closest) but the VFC has bee here before at Everglades PArk, what, three years back. So isn't there more history to the VFC than the HF and does that factor into calculating the identity of a bird.

Short of a positive identity, do the experts consider the last, most frequent, sightings in calculating probability factors? So the VFC would outrank the HF for this area based on what happened in the ENP several years past and further in light of the strong s to sw winds from Barry?
