Neighborhood cat caught baby bird!

The blue jays were making a loud ruckus this morning. I assumed it was the local Cooper's in the area. But, when I walked outside, I watched a local cat jump out of tree with a baby bird in its mouth. It ran too fast for me to catch up with it. Please advise. I have no idea whose cat it is. And these are the people who laugh at me when I tell them that cats kill tons of songbirds a year...
