Joe, I'm always suprised at the intensity and at the same time, the compartmentalization this subject brings out. Cats don't need to be punished, they're just cats. Rubbish like the loss paper inflame people, when a little common sense and simple math destroys it. Feral cats are and urban and maybe suburban issue. There are no feral cats in the everglades. Or the big cypress. Or the kissimee prairie. There are only about 350 urban and suburban metros in the U.S. so to get to a mere billion dead birds (30% lower than the low end of loss' estimates) you would need cats to kill about 3.3 million birds a year in each of those areas. That's nearly 10, 000 a day in each metro. We are one of the bigger areas. Do you think 10, 000 birds died in the jaws of cats today? And yesterday? Throw the loss paper in the trash where it belongs. And I'm on the birds side
