Have birded the above locations Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and today for 2-4 hours each day. Things have been slow with best birds being White-eyed and Blue-headed Vireos. Complete lists are on eBird.
In case you are wondering what I am up to. I have made it my goal during my time off work to try to self find a Caribbean vagrant. Yeah, I know there is a needle in that haystack too.
To this goal does anyone know of any analysis that has been done regarding when vagrants are first found and the preceding days wind direction? I noticed on http://windmapper.com/FL/forecast that next Sunday through Tuesday there is forecasted E to SE winds for the period. Just wondering if that noticeably improves the chances of something making the jump or if it is completely random.
