The main problem with trying to tie in vagrancy with a particular season or weather event is you have NO way of knowing for how long the bird had been present before it was discovered; it could literally be months.
A lot of birders fall into the habit of presuming that a bird appeared the day that it was found.
Even at well-birded spots such as Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, vagrants such as Ruddy Quail-Dove and Black-faced Grassquit either evaded discovery by birders or weren't found for months.
