December 2010 was the coldest on record, going back more than 110 years. I'm a weatherbug (farmer, you have to be) and my dad was one of the NOAA hurricane hunters, i think about weather more than most. Our most brutal cold seems to coincide with the full moons in december and especially january. I don't remember ever having a freeze or close in november. BTW,today was a record cold day in dade and broward.
