In 1983 we started getting huge numbers of Kingfish by late September, and they continued in good numbers all the way into May of the following year. This waw obviously not cold driven. We had catches ranging from 300 to over 1,000 lbs in one day that season. Wait, maybe that's the problem.

But, in recent years, it seems the large schools are staying to the north of us. If it's not weather, then there's definitely something else at play. Yes, we're talking fish now, but it's part of our ecosystem as well.
