Hi Monica,
I was referring to all the postings I researched on Google with 'Hairy Woodpecker and TAS" in the query and there only 2 postings (2007 and 2012). So, Two Hairy Woodpeckers birds recorded in the TAS made me think of rare. Now that you mentioned seeing one Hairy Woodpecker species per year I can see that it is not that rare. I should have stuck with southeastern Florida and the issue would most likely been resolved. Congrats on your record and report, Monica!
