Hi Joel,
Thank you for the descriptions on your observations on the brief sighting of the bird.
On an interesting note..a Hairy is listed as a "1" on the ABA list and I see how your Maine experience matches that perfectly. However. The same bird in SE Florida "becomes" a "4" or even a "5" in our area depending how lucky you are.
