Paul,
There is nothing controversial about Vincent's hearing an Eastern Whip-poor-will at Corkscrew. The call of that bird is extremely distinctive -- nothing even comes close. Habitat and time of year are spot on.
Hearing a REVI at Corkscrew in the middle of winter is quite a different sort of report -- a bird which should be wintering in the Amazon Basin right now.
