Lucky Hammock, Annex, STA3/4, Snake Road & Hoechoka Hammock

Enjoyable weekend birding....started off at Lucky Hammock on Saturday morning and the place was very lively, highlights included the Crested Caracara, Blue Grosbeaks, Tennessee Warblers (I think), Grasshopper Sparrow, Blue-headed Vireo, Merlin, House Wren, Painted Buntings, Indigo Buntings. Moved on to the Annex and added Black-throated Green and Magnolia Warblers.

Next moved to the intersection SW312th St and SW217th Ave and I was rewarded with two Scissortailed Flycatchers and a Western Kingbird all sat on the same wire....couldn't squeeze them all into one photograph!

Sunday I started out at STA3/4 and we found a very approachable Peregrine Falcon. We then moved on to Snake Road and photographed lots of Snail Kites and Crested Caracara, Wilson's Snipes, Limpkins plus another Scissortailed Flycatcher.

To finish the day we ended up at Hoechoka Hammock to photograph the cooperative American Wigeon. (Thanks Paul)
