Tyler: The tough question for a birder?? But buy the best binoculars you can afford, for most of us avid birders things like ruggedness and waterproof is important. Is close focus important( butterflys)??. Eye releif if you wear glass. I have used Swarowskis as my main binocs for many years. They repair them and my scope whenever anything goes wrong. As I get older they are heavy. Newer Swarovskis are lighter. It is best to go to a dealer where you can try a few brands out. there sare many in the Northeast, I know of none in Florida. you may want to review Derek Lovich's articles in birding on binocs. the past few years. He owns a " Wild Birds " store in Falmouth, Me. once you decide on the brand you might consider buying on line. Talk to as many of you fellow avid birders and ask them what they like about theirs. Good luck.
