Looks like your bird may indeed be a Salt Marsh Sharp-Tailed due to the white throat and the streaked breast. Just saw a few Nelson's at St. Marks N.W.R. The throats on Nelson's are buffy and lack white, which this bird appears to have and the streaks are much blurrier. It used to be that Salt Marsh was the more common of the two species, but this year on the Coot Bay CBC, I understand that Nelson's outnumbered them 10 to 1. Dr. Bill Searcy, an ornithology professor at U of M, was the compiler for Coastal Prairie. Life is good.......... having Trey's photos to spur the debate!
