Thanks Jeanette for giving me hope that a cardinal might eventually show up again. I usually use the black oil sunflower seed, as well as a song bird mix from home depot that has mostly white proso millet, but also peanut pieces and black oil sunflower seeds. They were all out last time I went. I saved the amount I had for the caged feeder for the buntings, and am using safflower for now on the other feeders. Where do you buy your seed?
