Thanks Bruce - I may try to stop by after work tomorrow evening...I stopped by last Friday, and it was a little quiet, but not completely dead...I managed to find some common yellowthroats, downy and red-bellied woodpeckers, eastern phoebes (lots of them), osprey, and a flock of monk parakeets. I heard a strange call that I didn't recognize - might have been something common, or not - I have no idea, but I never could lay eyes on it. It was calling loudly, audible from about 150 feet in either direction from the marsh gazebo - sort of a fast, clipped "teee dooo" sound...the 'teee' being high and upwards, and the 'dooo' being low and dropping downward. I don't know enough about bird calls to know who was making that noise, but it was loud and repeated often.
