Not flicker like. I hate trying to describe bird calls in words - I could try to imitate it in person better than describing it! The total call was only about 1 1/2 seconds...with pauses of 5-8 seconds in between before the next call. The first part was higher, and rising, like asking a question, followed by a falling tone of equal duration, slightly lower to begin with and falling. The closest I could think of was a teee-dooo sound, with the tone rising and falling like a bell curve or pyramid - tee going up, doo coming down.

I've searched bird calls of all kinds of Florida birds, and haven't come across it yet.
