Interesting that you would state that this is as far south as you have ever seen Bachman's Sparrow because I was just talking to someone about this the other day. Here in Collier County, there is much "good" habitat for them in places like the Picayune Strand State Forest or the Big Cypress National Preserve, yet despite looking for them over the years by myself as well as biologists from the Big Cypress NP and FFWC employees in the Picayune Strand, none have been found to my knowledge. What's up with that? I'm open to "educated" comments. . . .
