According to my copy of the Big Cypress National Preserve Bird Checklist, compiled by John Pilimio, Deborah Jansen and Marsha Dosek in December 1997, Bachman's Sparrow is an uncommon breeder in Big Cypress, present at all seasons. When writing Birding Florida, I communicated with Deborah Jansen about this. I recall her telling me that if there were, or still are Bachman's Sparrows in the preserve, she doesn't know where they would be.
I can't recall if I've asked John Kellam about this. Maybe now is a good time.
