Well, if Bachman's Sparrow did occur in Collier County some 50+ years ago, I can say with fairly high certainty, based on extensive birding in this county over more than a dozen years and from folks/biologists I know who work in the Big Cypress NP, Picayune Strand SP, Florida Panther NWR, etc., that they no longer occur here. Of course, I'd love to be proven wrong!
