Farewell Luck Hammock

Just received word that the engineers are putting a fence along the east side of Aerojet Rd, creating a barrier between Lucky Hammock proper and the brushy area to the east. Not only will birders have no access to the area to the east, but the fence can potentially act as a barrier to birds and other wildlife moving between the east and west sides of Aeroject Rd. Now, shouldn't TAS be more concerned and involved with the future of this, probably the most important birding spot in the County, and other birding spots that we are rapidly losing? Can we move our activism a little more towards birds?
