That's even worse..... It's owned by people only interested in moving water from one area to another....How hard would it have been to run the fence, if it really needed one along the base of the new canal! ... Technically we own the property as tax payers and just like with the STA's even though its public land, we can't use it except on specific days, only if certain people go with us and only a limited number of people go.... I want to know who makes up these rules and where do they get the authority to prevent those who want to enjoy these areas without harming anything....
They put up fences to keep out, what ATVers, Hunters and squatters... why not just arrest, fine and confiscate ATV's, Rifles and possessions of those breaking the law instead of making public land unavailable to everyone?..... That would quickly stop people who may be damaging sensitive public land. Just saying!!!! Does anyone out there today have any common sense?
So, how long will it be before the C-357, C-111e and dump marsh and other areas down here will become off limits for those of us who do no harm birding these areas.
I saw a Broad-wing hawk yesterday near Deering on Old Cutler yesterday and used it as my bird of the day....
