PABU few and timid

Usually from the first week in October through the first week in May I can see PABU feeding at my feeders just about all day long, every day. In past years up to 15. This year has been markedly different. I had several hawk attacks by a Cooper's, Sharp-shinned and Red-shouldered, but I'd think that would happen every year. ALL bird species are scarce in my yard and neighborhood. I have great cover and well placed feeders but very few birds and they appear for seconds only. What are others experiencing with PABU this season? Trish how are your PABU numbers this winter? At this point I would even welcome a House Sparrow.
