Our Painted Bunting and other yard birds count has been way down since December. We also had/have a Cooper's Hawk hunting in the area.
On another note, we had an American Kestrel perching in my neighbor's tree yesterday. I've lived here for about 25 years and have never seen an American Kestrel in or around my neighborhood before.
We live about 3 miles NW of The Falls shopping center.
