Hi Anil:
I lead one of the tour groups yesterday at STA-5. We had over 85 species but did not have several of the birds you mention i.e. Short-tailed Hawk, Sharp=shinned Hawk & especially Short-billed Dowitcher which has never been recorded at STA-5 in winter as far as I am aware. So my question to you is, how did you determine that the dowitchers you saw were anything but Long-billed Dowitchers?
