Alison and I birded STA-5, Green Cay Wetlands, and Wakodahatchee Wetlands yesterday (Saturday, Jan. 8). It was a beautiful day and we ended up with 71 species, which is pretty good given the relatively limited habitat range. Our bird of the day was a Sora that appeared about 10 ft from us at Wakodahatchee as we were watching a group of Black-bellied Whistling Ducks. We watched it from close range for about 15 minutes before the park closed for the evening. Observation lists from all three places listed below.
