Green Cay Owl(s) Update

I brought Mossy, my long time fiance to Green Cay to show her the red morph screech owl I located near my late Mom's owl house. We found the red morph easily. It was in the slash pine just off the board walk. We were soon joined by several other birders and wayfarers.

We hung around for about an hour looking at the red owl, sharing our binoculars with passersby, listening to the clattering of a sandhill, and watching aerobatics of a gray ghost, when a head suddenly popped out of the owl house, it was a grey morph!

Please tell people to refrain from flash photography of the couple. We are hoping the female is now "on eggs."
