Thanks on Blodgett Potato ident.

My call was wrong on cocoplum because I typed the story line before I posted the bird. It is poison wood and I know it well having seen it in 1954 and ever since in the ENP (my second home).

I do believe there is a great specimen in the parking circle of Pah-hay-okee and I often wondered why they left that there to torment tourists.

What do you make of the "burn" from Parotis to Nine mile pond. Does that help the critters out any? Ot is it just for road/weed control?

I do wish you could make it up here to see Hoechoka Hammock. We now have 293 native species and they range from seedlings to 45 feet tall. The Landscape Inspectors Association of Florida, LAA, are coming here March 26 for a tour.

At present we are compiling notes and bird species that feed on certain plants. One that baffles us is Randia, the seedds disappear daily but we can't find any bird in the bushes. Any idea? The berries are white as you know so maybe a night feeder?
