The eagle was at the nest when I pulled up at 8:00 AM. I had to get out of the car to retrieve my camera from the trunk. The bird immediately became more alert and active, and flew off within one minute. The lesson for me is that observers should stay in their vehicles and use it as a blind. The car can be positioned in line with the post of the "End School Zone" sign, providing an excellent view of the nest. See the Eagle Nest Web site for details.
