Bald Eagles now carrying nest material

Early this morning, the birds were carrying sticks to the nest at a rate of three trips an hour. That may have accounted for the bird's hasty departure yesterday morning, or at least I hope so. When I arrived there around 8:30 AM, this one was standing guard in the Australian Pine just to the east of the nest tree. Last year they oviposited around mid-December, so they appear to be on schedule.
