The first time we saw the nest was in Feb. this year while coming back from Holiday Park, at the time we saw no sign of Eagles using the nest. There is another Eagle nest that we have seen an Eagle perched over on US27 close to Pines, can't remember where exactly. The nest was visible from the road in April while we were on the way to launch out of Holiday Park.

Recently we were birding in the area although we did not look for the nest we did have an Eagle flyover. We were at West Pines Soccer Park & Nature Preserve checking out the boardwalk when a second year Bald Eagle took off from the trees to the south and flew right over us looking at us giving us amazing views. What an awesome bird, wish I would have taken a picture since it was so close. Maybe this is the offspring of the couple? There were some other birds at the wetland as well, including one very vocal Kingfisher which is always awesome. We also birded some of the lakes in and around the area and had a nice variety of birds. Below is the list:
