Loggerhead shrikes have made a remarkable comeback over the past few years. They were considered rare at Castellow Hammock ten years ago, but now they're common in the park, and are nesting here too.
This very likely can be attributed to the population explosion of exotic lizards, which are offering them an ample food supply.
