This morning I saw a bird that is an exotic foraging in a strangler fig tree at Cape Florida. It appears to be an icterid, about the size of a common grackle or slightly bigger, all over a metallic turquoise blue, with a yellow eye surrounded by a black mask. The legs and bill were black.
I checked on the web for images of a superb starling, but those showed a bird with a rust and white belly, which the bird I saw did not have.
Any ideas anyone?
