At Green Cay yesterday I photographed a warbler that I can't identify, but from what I've read and know of its "similars" it seems like a female orange-crowned. It didn't respond to phishing like a common yellowthroat, nor did it call (yellowthroats tend to be noisy). The female yellow warbler has light edges on the wing feathers, and Tennessee warbler has a shorter tail. There are other comparisons from the books I consulted, but the behavior was the most revealing difference. It was very shy, and very active, foraging in the big fern for quite awhile. Photos on the website. Anybody else want to take a crack at it?
There's also a snake I need confirmation on - I think it's a banded watersnake.
