One sign of a weak case is made-up "data". This is exactly what our anonymous "Whiner" has presented. Two examples:

He claims "average results were 13-14 warbler species for the day for each route"

The facts: The actual average for the non-pelagic routes posted last fall was 8.5, not "13-14". Moreover, the only true comparable route posted for both years yielded 10 warblers each time. This is actually surprising to me as I recall last fall's count as being a particularly good birding day.

"...marquiz species (Cerulean, Canada, blue-winged, Golden-winged...) ... but we usually have at least one seen in Dade by this date."

In fact, no. Of those, only Cerulean seems to have an average arrival date in Miami-Dade before Sept 15. It is also not reported at all from Miami-Dade in most years.

We didn't get any of these at Cape Florida this morning, but Chestnut-sided, Prothonotary, and Hooded left us feeling satisfied.
