Well, it may seem typical, but during last year's fall NAMC, the average results were 13-14 warbler species for the day for each route. Yesterday's the average seems to be 7-8. From my perspective it seems this fall is 1/2 average. Plus, how do you account for the paucity of marquiz species (Cerulean, Canada, blue-winged, Golden-winged...) I never expect these to be anything less than rare, but we usually have at least one seen in Dade by this date. Maybe I missed something, but I have yet to hear of one of these spotted in Dade this Fall. If I'm mistaken I humbly apologize.
I hope today's walk at the Cape proves me completely wrong.
