Flamingo Origin

This just in: the color of this bird does not match either the Metrozoo birds (they are more orange) or the Hialeah birds (they are brighter pink). I just spoke to someone who has seen Flamingoes in many countries, and is somewhat of a Flamingo expert, and she believes this to be a wild bird. The color is an exact match with the birds in the Bahamas. The lack of bands, the color, the behavior, the proximity to wild populations, and the fact that Jupiter is in the constellation Scorpios right now, all point to a high probability that we have a genuine, vagrant, wild Flamingo here. As Rock said, wild until proven otherwise.

So, go see it now, or brave the 1.6 miles of mosquito-infested trail at Snake Bight, only to see the back side of mangroves. You could walk out on the mud past the mangroves, but you may not make it back!
