Early this afternoon two adult Scissor-tailed Flycatchers were seen on the western edge of a large area being developed near the 2800 block of SW 148th Avenue. SW 148th Ave. is a short road at the west end of SW 26th Street which can be reached from SW 130th and 136th Avenues. This is the same location where a small flock of Scissor-tailed Flycatchers and Western Kingbirds wintered last year.

I don't usually bother too much with exotics but today I found a concentration of at least 45 Egyptian Geese in a yard on the SW corner of 148th Ave. (Hancock Rd.) and 69th St. (Mustang Trail) in Southwest Ranches.

All addresses in this posting are in the Ft. Lauderdale street numbering system.
