I've seen the geese in this neighborhood before in loose groups of five or ten and assumed they were pet birds. This area is made up mainly of five to ten acre ranchettes with large ponds dug to get fill for house pads so there is plenty of pet/feral waterfowl around. forty five is an actual fast count and there could have easily been five or ten more in the yard and a couple more were seen in a front yard a few blocks away.
