birds and bears

I had a pleasant and not to exciting day of birding Lucky Hammock, Anhinga Trail, and then I took a ride to the end of the Research Road. I stopped at the Stop Sign and took a look down the old canal when I saw a BEAR. I have birded the Everglades for years and it was my first bear. He took a long look at me, washed his face and walked back into the brush. It was more exciting then a life lister!
