While looking for La Sagra's Flycatcher this morning, Louisiana birder Charlie Lyons found a Connecticut Warbler. I assume it was in the south end of the park and when Charlie gets to a computer, he will post more details. This is about 4 days early for Cape Florida CONW sightings.
As of 1 PM, the La Sagra's had not been spotted. We heard reports of a sighting yesterday (Friday) but no details.
Despite windy conditions, a cumulative effort (Bryant, Toe, Webb, Trey, Greg and me) yielded 11 warbler species (without Connecticut), Yellow-billed Cuckoos, Gray Kingbirds, Merlins and Black-whiskered Vireo (Greg). Perhaps there are additional sightings from today.
