At 9:30 this morning I saw an adult male Tristram's Starling on the Baywalk near the Two Tequesta Point building on Brickell Key. This is an Onychognathus (red-winged) starling native to the Middle East. It is superficially similar to a Common Grackle, but has a dark eye and a copper-colored wing panel when perched. The copper is very conspicuous when the bird flies. I believe this bird was reported from Brickell Key a year or two ago. I've seen it once before while I was stuck in traffic around 700 Brickell Avenue. Obviously, this is not a countable ABA bird but I understand there are birders with an interest in non-countable exotics.
