1 adult male Canvasback at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on March 14, 2015.
Possibly same bird reported to eBird on 2-24-2015 by Bart S. Red iris; long uniformly dark bill; sloping forehead; very pale back almost imperceptibly blending with very pale flanks. Swimming, very briefly dabbling (not diving), standing, preening, flying. Photographed from 10:50 A.M. to 11:29 A.M. in all parts of the large deep triangular lake at the NE corner of the airport. This lake is located E of the 5-track rail yard (which is E of the Airport Perimeter RD) and located SW of the I-595 exit ramp 12A (to get from E-bound I-595 to S-bound US 1). All the roads near the lake seem to prohibit cars from stopping, standing, or parking. I plan to post more details later. Below is a link to photos:
