My LIMITED observation of this bird is consistent with its being wild:
wings: 100% intact
flight: fast, far, high, strong, confident
normal comfort behaviors & well-maintained plumage
no other unusual waterfowl & no exotics at this lake (only: MODU, AMCO, COGA, PBGR, DCCO, ANHI)
far from waterfowl collections of free-roaming birds (10 miles from Flamingo Gardens, 10 miles from Staples pond, 7 miles from Gulfstream Park)
CANV not reported from any waterfowl collections in Broward as far as I know
extremely limited-access lake with almost no opportunity for bird feeding by humans & with almost no hunting pressure or other human disturbance (other than the noise of planes, trains, trucks, mowers)
evasive action by bird every time I moved further S along ramp 12A shoulder to get better lighting for photos
no visible nasal saddles or other tags
