Fish kill at Virginia Key Causeway Beach may attract birds

Dear All:

More than usual activity on Virginia Key Causeway Beach attracted by a fish kill:

I was only able to be there for 15 minutes on my way to pick up the little one, but I inadvertently scared off a group of birds and uncovered the source of the excitement: a big chunk of ray washed up on the beach. More dead fish were in the water.

I could see a couple more groups of birds down the beach probably attracted to the same thing.

Hope it's helpful. Anyone know the number to the Gorton's Fisherman? S;-)
