Doesn't sound like a fish kill or there would have been thousands of dead fish all over the water. What you may have found is the discarded bycatch of a shrimp boat that fished the night before. Also, I would not put any thought into the recent weather causing a fish kill. 59 degrees is hardly cold enough to kill our local fish. The cold-related fish kills in the past resulted from temperatures going down below freezing, which is 32 degrees.
