Nate Swick's latest ABA Rare Bird Alert (link below) includes Larry's ani sighting, describing this species as "Formerly regular in Florida but completely extirpated as a breeding bird." While I don't possess any evidence that contradicts this sad assessment, I'm curious to know if the Florida Ornithological Society has formally declared this to be so.
