I hit Wako and GC this weekend, and as with all others documented the neotropicals at Wakodahatchee. At Green Cay, there was good raptor activity - osprey, red-shouldered hawk, cooper's hawk, and kestrels. Also, belted kingfishers (at least two) were nicely visible. Pine warblers, blue-grey gnatcatchers, and a few prairies and palm warblers mixed in all along the entrance, painted buntings in good numbers by the front feeders and south end feeders.

Notably, the purple swamphens were very much in the open along the back north stretch of boardwalk - and there were two large adults along with 2 or 3 younger chicks being fed. The chicks weren't tiny - they were about 1/2 the size of the parents, so slightly grown, but it would seem that they nested at Green Cay (if you like to see them and live in Palm Beach, then maybe good news...if you don't like the spread of the species, then bad news).
