I went by this morning from 10:45am - 12:45pm but didn't find any empids. I went back at 5 pm and stayed until 6:30. At about 5:45 I had a flycatcher fluttering above the boardwalk. It flew NW into an oak tree and gave great views... of it's back! I was able to see the olive upperparts but never saw the belly. The bird gave the impression of having no neck and a large head. It never vocalized and gave only fleeting views of the bill/face. Within 30 seconds it continued NW and I was never able to relocate it again. Hopefully it sticks til tomorrow!
