With all due respect Bryant, this should not be a valid reason for not entering your records on eBird. Your data is extremely valuable and there are scores of people involved in cleaning up the data. As someone that has been involved with data QA/QC, at the Everglades ecosystem level, for 15 years, I can assure you that nothing is ever 100% corrected; especially when you are compiling data from different, non-standardized scientific sources.

Keep this in mind: the world-level of data management in eBird is unprecedented; nothing has ever come close to it. It's not just bird observations from birders but also field records from researchers. The QA/QC has gotten way better and is still evolving; give it a chance. You can choose not to enter your records, but given your experience, this would be a pity and to share such great observations with the rest of the birding community would be invaluable, not to mention they would live forever in the database...or at least until the end of the Mayan calendar, which is just around the corner.

Think about it.
