Last year I saw ONE bird north of the area that is used as a parking lot by fishermen on the other side of the road from Glenn Garrett park. It was after January and 100 yards away. I was looking for the Sissor Tailed Flycatchers.

Other years I have seen the bird more reliably. At Paurotis pond there was a female that was there off-and-on for several years (probably there all along in winter but other side of the pond). Sissor Tailed Flycatchers are also reliably found in these areas but the sightings are sporadic (Sunday one week and three weeks of nothing then three days and again, nothing).

If the birds are reliably there I might post, but on the basis that they were appearing I'll not get everyone all stirred up.

Nests - unless in a public area -- parking lot etc. I generally do not disclose locations. Too many people is not good and I've seen some really stupid things happen.

Also, on Friday there was a Red, bright cardinal red, underside bird that flew through the oaks over Castellow Hammock Parking Lot while I was talking with Ms. Timberlake. Top side was dark. Could have been a Tanager -- was NOT a cardinal or a Vermilion. Bushes were trimmed and NO rufous hummers....
